Library
The Resource Centre/Library at Errington Special Education Centre is well equipped to support all learners, featuring a visual referencing system that enables students to independently access resources.
Our commitment to literacy is evident in our well-stocked, up-to-date library, which is open to all students and classes throughout the week. Some students utilise the library individually, while others participate in class sessions delivered by our dedicated school librarian.
Students are encouraged to participate in the Premier’s Reading Challenge each year, and Book Week is a highlight on our school calendar, celebrated by all students and staff.
Errington Special Education Centre is proactive in adopting innovative literacy initiatives, including Proloquo2Go and Jolly Phonics. These programs utilise specially designed software, such as apps on iPads, to enhance literacy learning and participation—particularly supporting our non-verbal students to engage meaningfully in their education.
